From there the route goes northbound along the Pacific coast all the way to Puerto Inka. You will pass small villages and enjoy the spectacular views. The hotel Puerto Inka is one to remember, because of its amazing location, on a natural bay. Once this was the harbor of the Inca’s. If you have ever driven the “Tail of the Dragon” in the USA, well this the same… but for hundreds of miles!!! Passing tourist-less Puquio, a beautiful little village in the high Andes. And then even higher over the Andes to Chalhuanca.

  • Distance: 340 km. (210 mi.)

Day 7 & 8: Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Today a short ride from the 'Sacred Valley of the Incas' to the ancient capital of the Inca empire. You can choose to visit several interesting Inca sites along the way.
The rest of the day and the next day are to explore Cusco on your own. Choices are to be made, because time is limit here. In the opinion of PeruMotors you can't miss the fortress of Saqsayhuaman, the Inca Museum, Plaza de Armas and Qoricancha. It's up to you !

After breakfast you return by boat to the civilized (?) world, and around noon you fly back to Cusco. The rest of the day in Cusco is at leisure.
